It looks like antlr 3.4 including the C runtime was released on July 18th. Currently we only have a 3.3 prerelease in the tree. I'm asking this specifically because new versions of dev-db/mysql-workbench now depend on antlr-c. The package has its own bundled version of 3.4, but I'd rather not use that anyway, and it has trouble building.

I tried to bump antlr to 3.4 last year but it changes a lot of dependencies, which I don't have enough time to work on. On the other hand, I'm not quite familiar with java packages.
Cc'ing java since they may be able to help. Also, can't we update the C runtime (dev-libs/antlr-c) separately from the java parts?
Created attachment 323454 [details] working ebuild Trying to debug mysql-workbench problems I have created this working ebuild of antlr-c-3.4. It was a matter of disabling one patch and removing "SNPSHOT" from package name. Upon installing a few programs inspired by mysql-workbench configure script were ran and ran fine. Hope my input can be used somehow.
