Yeah, I know. I wrote the ebuild.

I used yellow because it is not very important.

Why are you reporting this as a bug on bugs.gentoo.org?

This is not our bug.

Bye.

what he's trying to say is please bug the samba team about the program not compiling correctly ... it's been like this for some time

Comment 4 Barry Salter 2004-12-16 01:30:13 UTC
Now reported to the Samba team via their Bugzilla. Their ref #2163.
Comment 5 Barry Salter 2004-12-16 17:01:31 UTC
Just for completeness, the response received from Volker Lendecke (one of the Samba team) was:

-----BEGIN QUOTE-----

rpctorture is not supported in any way. If you need similar functionality look
at samba4 smbtorture.

-----END QUOTE-----

Any chance we can disable compiling of this then since I need to patch samba for
some things and cannot ebuild compile since it stops there ?

Thanks :)
Comment 11 Henti Smith 2005-09-14 03:46:00 UTC
Nevermind.. seems the compile is actually done and I can install and qmerge
afterwards :)
Comment 12 postmodern 2005-09-14 10:45:08 UTC
net-fs/samba-3.0.14a-r2 still has a broken rpctorture and does not build or
install the rpctorture util.
