gentoo sources fails to create bzimage unless you emerge perl first. The errors reflect this, however the documentation does not.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. extract stage3 tarball
2. extract portage
3. run chroot as per installation guide
4. emerge gentoo-sources
5. emerge genkernel
6. run genkernel all
Actual Results:  
Fails to create kernel bzimage during kernel compilation cites perl being the issue

Expected Results:  
new kernel and initramfs in /boot

if you emerge perl before running genkernel all, everything compiles as it is supposed too.
