This package replaces the old built-in nsbrowser plugin that was in vlc-1.1 (acessible via USE='nsplugin', which is now use.mask'd due to a dependency on xulrunner). The plugin works with vlc-1.1, and as such should be stabilized so that users that want to use vlc within their browsers but want to remain stable-keyworded can do so. KEYWORDS for vlc-1.1.13 (latest stable) are "alpha amd64 ~arm ppc ppc64 sparc x86 ~x86-fbsd" and so I've CC'd all of those arch's even though npapi-vlc's KEYWORDS is a much shorter list at the moment. AT's please take your time, if you prefer.

vlc-1.1 is gone from the tree, does this still work?
(In reply to comment #7) > vlc-1.1 is gone from the tree, does this still work? >=npapi-vlc-2.0 is from vlc-2.x series... and just happened to work for 1.1 too, so I see no reason why package intended for 2.x series wouldn't work for 2.x series.
however I have no idea why alpha/sparc is asked to keyword something like this, a multimedia browser plug-in? You would propably be better off with gecko-mediaplayer anyways.
well, no need to do this for sparc since >=vlc-2.0 doesn't work there...
Keywords on this package were meant to originally match those of vlc-1.1 as this package took over providing the browser plugin for vlc-1.1 as well as 2.0 (vlc-1.1 with the built-in 'nsplugin' being deprecated due to incompatibility with spidermonkey-1.8.5) Since vlc-1.1 is gone (yes? i didn't look), any irrelevant keywords should probably be dropped.
For alpha we'll do it if an user requests it unless you plan to add this a dep on vlc :)
