There is a projet hosting on sf.net
http://sourceforge.net/projects/powerpc-utils/
It looks newer version available.

If there are some reason to use debian source and patch-set, HOMEPAGE and SRC_URI should be changed to use "mirror://debian" and Debian PTS for HOMEPAGE at least.

1) It also uses a hard-wired Debian mirror instead of mirror://debian/*.
2) It also uses mirror://gentoo, which it probably shouldn't if our QA team gets
   a word in.

Sorry, I'm little confused and mistaken.

sys-apps/ibm-powerpc-utils and sys-apps/powerpc-utils are quiet different packages.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/powerpc-utils/ is a former upstream. latter one is just available on Debian repository.

So I edit this bug's title more clearly. "sys-apps/powerpc-utils should use mirror://debian/ in SRC_URI."

Closing as obsolete.

Current powerpc-utils-1.1.3.18-r4 already got a Debian SRC_URI, current ibm-powerpc-utils-1.3.8-r1 already got an IBM SCR_URI.
