I've attached an update to bzflag-1.10.4.ebuild that checks for the X USE flag is set. If it is, it compiles like it would without modification; it is isn't, it compiles a servers-only version of bzflag (bzfs & bzfrelay). This is quite useful for Gentoo servers without X installed (as it should be). Tom

Just realized that the perl line to fix the Makefile may not be the best to use since not all systems will have perl installed. Same goes for sed, I guess? Maybe a patch for the Makefile would be in order instead.
Actually, if you were to write this to use the "dedicated" USE flag, then I'll add it. Also, I would think that all Gentoo machines will have perl and sed, since perl and text-utils are part of the system profile.
Created attachment 29762 [details] Updated ebuild that uses the "dedicated" USE flag Okay, I changed it to use the dedicated flag.
I'll get this added into portage as soon as I can find some time to test it. If I don't get this in by Monday, make some noise (post a comment) to remind me.
It's Tuesday now, and I'm just making some noise...
How about an update for bzflag-1.10.6.20040515.ebuild ?
