Description barul 2012-03-14 18:58:05 UTC
Using =net-im/skypetab-ng-0.4.9_pre20111124-r1, and I cannot minimize the window by clicking on the icon which sits in the systray zone, while when launching skype with the 'skype' command, it works.

Just curious. What tray application you are using?

No one, I'm using fluxbox, the systray zone is included in the toolbar.

Aha. Reproducible here as well. On stock stype it minimizes only contact list.
Hiding the whole frame sounds reasonable.

It's a decision of the developer. "By design".

Oh thanks. That is too bad... That really could have been a cool feature.

Bon'rt be upset! This time author is not against the feature
to make it optional:

If you are skilled enough you might consider helping him.

Oooh! That's a really good news! I wish I was skilled enough to bring some help here, but unfortunately, I'm not.

But I'll follow the bugreport with attention now that I know it might be added in future versions.

Thanks :-)

Author committed the change. I've prepared another snapshot including it:

_But_! I did only compile-test it so you'll be the first who will
see it in action. Please report if it works for you :]

Snapshot not in portage yet, so I merged -9999 version, I guess I can say it works: when clicking on the icon in the systray zone, it minimizes the window. But _only_ if there's no conversation opened.

Maybe I'd better open a bug report like you did on the project page for that issue, 'cause now the bug is solved.
Comment 10 barul 2012-03-26 21:23:15 UTC
Well, it seems I was wrong… When I click on the systray icon, it doesn't actually minimize the window, it just reduces it…
