Description Stephen Lewis 2012-03-05 03:07:18 UTC
Libreoffice emerges successfully on Powerpc64, 64 bit userland IFF -mminimal-toc
is used. I attached a patch for the ebuild and the package.keywords file the I used.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install package.keywords file
2.patch the ebuild
3.emerge -av libreoffice
4.wait a while...
Actual Results:
builds and installs LibreOffice - yeah!

# emerge --info libreoffice

patch to ebuild

patch to add CFLAGS -mminimal-toc to ebuild
else build fails about 1/3 way through in 'xmloff'

I would rather use this patch than fiddle with cflags:

http://patch-tracker.debian.org/patch/series/view/libreoffice/1:3.5.0-2/no-minimaltoc.diff

Anyway first before I apply it I want to know if ppc64 is even interested in adding libreoffice there.
Comment 4 Brent Baude (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-03-26 17:58:15 UTC
I'd prefer that we get to gcc-4.6 and binutils 2.22. That will fix this problem and no need to edit the ebuilds.
Comment 5 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2012-12-17 16:15:26 UTC
CC back ppc64 if is needed (at proper time)
Comment 6 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-04-26 18:40:16 UTC
Are you guys still interested?

The patch is no longer needed.

Seems no.
