x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-2.18.0 was built with the following:
USE="dri (multilib) sna"
LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1 -Wl,--as-needed -Wl,-z,lazy"
Comment 3 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2012-03-04 16:18:02 UTC
Does this happen both with sna enabled and disabled? Please also consider creating a bug report upstream at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/ if none already exists.
Comment 4 Emmanuel Andry 2012-03-07 11:33:01 UTC
No crash when SNA is disabled.
Comment 5 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2012-03-07 22:53:16 UTC
xorg-server-1.12 has been added to the tree, you could test it (still p.masked). After testing you may have to downgrade again to 1.11 however, as xf86-input-synaptics has not been updated for this version yet.
Comment 6 Ferry 2012-03-08 13:25:59 UTC
Have the same issue. Building w/o sna now.

I don't use remmina though. As I primarily work as windows systems administrator (:() I have rdp sessions open nearly all the time. I just use freerdp tho'.

When it happens it's usually when starting an app or switching to it. Not sure, but I think when it crashes when switching it's an app that's minimized. Usually a freerdp session or firefox (but I use those along with terminals >=95% of the time, haven't noticed the issue when switching to terminals (gnome terms) (yet)).

Comment 7 Emmanuel Andry 2012-03-19 10:23:34 UTC
Same issue with xserver 1.12, and the today's remmina update.
Comment 8 Emmanuel Andry 2012-03-19 10:30:31 UTC
Sorry : the remmina update build is broken, so it's not updated (and the update is only vnc related)
Comment 9 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2012-03-19 12:19:22 UTC
If you generate backtrace for the upstream bug, you need to build the relevant packages with debug info, by adding -ggdb to CFLAGS (it is recommended to enable FEATURES="splitdebug" too)
At least xorg-server and xf86-video-intel debug info is needed for a meaningful backtrace.
Comment 10 Emmanuel Andry 2012-05-07 09:17:49 UTC
Tested with xf86-video-intel-2.19.0, the problem is gone.
Comment 11 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2012-05-07 09:52:36 UTC
Marking as fixed per comment 10
