I'm not sure whether this applies to 0.19 or only to -9999, but btrfs-tools doesn't install either the restore or find-root binaries as mentioned on the (temporary, while kernel.org version is static due to breakin some months ago) wiki: http://btrfs.ipv5.de/index.php?title=Restore I just confirmed they're in the (9999/git) sources and built, but the src_install ignores them, so they don't end up on the live filesystem either. Of course these binaries should probably be renamed for namespace pollution reasons (as I see you're alread doing with bcp -> btrfs-bcp), but they do need installed. Also, the home page is outdated: Either the home page should be at least temporarily changed to the temp-wiki or a post-inst einfo/ewarn should mention it, as the kernel.org wiki is outdated and unchanging ATM (due as I said above to the breakin). I had to find out about the temp-wiki location from the btrfs mailing list. Here's the link to the front-page: http://btrfs.ipv5.de/index.php?title=Main_Page ... And the talk on the btrfs list is that the "temporary" wiki location may end up being permanent, since there's no hint when or if the kernel.org location will be writable/updatable once again. There /is/ some suggestion of possibly simply making the kernel.org location a redirector for now, but until then, the existing kernel.org page is outdated, and becoming more so all the time, while the ipv5.de wiki is getting regular updates as can be seen by checking the history. It's further worth noting that the gentoo-specific btrfs page mentioned on the getting started page, is 404 on the kernel site, but is properly available on the ipv5.de site. Thanks. =:^)
btrfs-progs-9999 has been rewritten to solve most of these issues. As for the homepage URL, I changed this as well, but we'll have to keep an eye on whether it changes back to the old one at some point in the future.
