When emerging media-libs/opencv-2.3.0, GCC segfaults on multiple files. GCC hasn't been upgraded in a long time and this version of opencv had already been build once (rebuilt because libtiff was upgraded). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge opencv-2.3.0 2. 3. Actual Results: GCC crashes with a segmentation fault Expected Results: GCC should not crash and opencv should be installed

does it crash at the same place every time ?

Seeing mine went straight in, this looks and feels like some background system glitch of yours. Try MAKEOPTS=-j1, sometimes that skirts this type of gcc internal error.

Rebuilding the package using "MAKEOPTS=-j1" resulted in another segfault by cc1plus. Will attach the build.log. I don't know if https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383941 is a duplicate of this bug.
