After booting kernel version 3.1.6-gentoo the UVC camera Logitech E3500 has stopped working. Neither built-in microphone, nor the video are responding. Reverting back to version 3.0.6-gentoo fixes the problem. Reproducible: Always
Shortly after the problem, the PC has died and was taken for repair. When I got it back, everything is working again. So, possibly the problem was caused by hardware failure which happened when the newer kernel was running. I'm closing this report. Hopefully, I'm doing it in correct way :)
