I had trouble installing various packages due to a side effect of using SystemRescueCd. It sets a 'path' environment variable to "/usr/bin /usr/sbin /bin /sbin". libtool will use this variable when linking, and this will give an error that /usr/bin is not a directory. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. export path=jkdshfsdfggfuiwefgsdhfge 2. emerge gettext, libggi (with USE=aalib), libiodbc or gtksourceview Actual Results: The error log will say: 'dsfgsdfgdshgfdhgdf: No such file or directory' Workaround: unset path Expected Results: libtool should unset path first, and not inherit it. leela ~ # emerge --info autoconf
