A database browser working with any JDBC driver and therefore working with any database that has one. I use it for my Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL work. Would be nice to have it and automatically find the JDBC drivers, that can be installed with emerge! Suggestion: dev-dv or dev-java Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
As you may have noticed, requests for ebuilds are at the bottom of our priority list. We simply do not have the manpower available to satisfy them all. If you have the time and patience, you should look into writing one on your own, and submit it. We'll try to be as helpful as possible in getting submission massaged to fit with the ebuild policies, so that it goes into the tree. I'm closing this one as LATER; if you find that somebody else has done an ebuild for this, or you do it yourself, please reopen this bug with the ebuild attached.
Now.
Ok, here's a shot at it. Seems to be working perfectly for me, but I haven't tested extensively. I had to patch two lines of source code due to calling a non-existand method call. I was unable to find out what the method call actually did, so I just removed it. See the patch, it doesn't look quite as bad as it sounds. Eivind

Works for me.

Eh? Why is this closed WORKSFORME?
(In reply to comment #8) > *** Bug 133629 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** To the casual searcher, Bug#133629 contains an ebuild for squirrel-sql-2.2 (final May 2006).
I strongly vote for including into official portgae tree! As long as this it the main issues for squirrel-sql I'd like to see, that someone maintains newer ebuilds postet in other reports in here for the meantime. Thx a lot! BTW: 2.3 is out.
Here's my version 2.3 ebuild. It makes use of java-config-2 but I haven't checked if it does so properly, and probably needs cleaning up.

Added the keyword ~amd64 for me, it works fine for me.
Why wasn't this ebuild officially integrated yet?
(In reply to comment #17) > Why wasn't this ebuild officially integrated yet? Because none of Gentoo developers has picked it up yet to maintain it. There are "only" 2300+ new ebuilds sitting in the queue in Bugzilla. :P http://tinyurl.com/2ssqgq
New version 2.6.5a released 2008-03-09. Working on updating the ebuild for this version and will attach it when done.

(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accomendate you on a timely manor. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy. Hello. Are there people still interested in adding this ebuild to Portage? Let know. Thanks.
I guess not. Closing this bug.
