Description Colin Tinker 2004-01-19 10:38:47 UTC
Instead of downloading all language files which takes forever make the package honour the LINGUA setting and use just the select language file(s).
Comment 1 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-19 11:54:55 UTC
that's exactly what the ebuild does (or is supposed to do). Does this not work for you?
Comment 2 Colin Tinker 2004-01-19 12:21:15 UTC
No everytime it downloads all the language files then installs the correct one. I can set the LINGUAS setting from the command line but where can I put it so it is the default in the environment?
Comment 3 Colin Tinker 2004-01-19 12:23:41 UTC
I also get this error with the new KDE 3.2-rc1 packages when doing an emerge -Duf kde:-

No message digest entry found for file "kde-i18n-af-3.1.94.tar.bz2.
Comment 4 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-05 06:17:44 UTC
what about now for 3.2 final?
Comment 5 Colin Tinker 2004-02-05 12:59:06 UTC
I am compiling kde-3.2 over the weekend so will post a reply then.
Comment 6 Colin Tinker 2004-02-06 09:58:30 UTC
Nope just compiling kde-i18n now with "LINGUAS=en_GB emerge -Du kde kde-i18n" and it downloading all the language files.

I also see this Bug. Furthermore it is the same for at least koffice-i18n and realplayer.

I think this is a bug in Portage.

Portage 2.0.51_rc7 (gcc34-x86-2004.2, gcc-3.4.2, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r0, 2.6.8-ck7 i686)
