I know that GCC upgrade guide generally doesn't change, but http://www.reddit.com/r/Gentoo/comments/kn3wf/gcc453r1_stable_on_amd64/c2ln9jv pointed out the guide may leave an _impression_ of being outdated by mentioning ancient versions of gcc prominently. Here are my suggestions: - bump all GCC version number in the guide to something more recent (just to make it look better; obviously it doesn't change the meaning of things) - it may be possible to remove section about 3.3 -> 3.4 upgrade completely, move it to a separate page, or do not make it so prominent - you'd probably spot some more opportunities for improving that guide Thanks!
For example one could also mark-up system and world set properly with the @-sign.
GCC Upgrading guide has been rewritten and pushed to CVS. Should show up in an hour or so on the site.
