Underlying bug #376113 has been fixed, but it seems that when bootstrapping an older version of the tree is used, resulting in the same failure.

Some options:

- update version of the tree used for bootstrapping
- ask the user in the doc to emerge --sync earlier

hmm, ok.

The only option is actually to update the snapshot. If you want to help us test, try "latest_tree" in Code Listing 1.3 instead of just "tree"

snapshot updated, bootstrap docs updated, bootstrap confirmed on OSX 10.7 (Lion)
