This is a dup of bug #374579, which should be re-opened (and the name changed
to reflect the real problem) as the the original patch applied there didn't
really fix the problem.

There's a an updated patch on that bug that's said to fix the issue (which I
have), but I've not tried the updated patch yet.

With dev-lang/python-2.7.2-r2 and python-3.2-r2 the issue disapeared for me.
