Recently I saw multiple posts in polish section about issues with new gentoo install. All because of missing udev in sysinit. also, stage3 does not contain basic nodes, it contain only 'null'. all this make new installs of gentoo unbootable. This is supposed to be fixed in the 20110625 amd64 stage3 (bug 369037)
Oh, I didnt found #369037, bugzilla have kinda poor searcher. Anyway, shoudn't broken stages be taken down or fixed? (add udev symlink to /etc/runlevel/sysinit to tarball). It's been broken for awhile.
Before I go closing this as a dupe on bug 369037 or bug 368597, release, this is all taken care of right? As to why they aren't removed, I don't believe we have control over the mirrors to do so.
Yes, this is a dupe. The stages from last week / this week (starting on 20110625) fixed the issue of the missing devices and udev symlink. I've removed the old stages from poseidon, so they should be dropped from the mirrors. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 368597 ***
