Description Marco Napetti 2011-05-14 10:09:56 UTC
I open a new bug to reopen my old bug http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=286007

The problem reappeared and I examined it, so I found that if I exit amarok (or shut down the pc) with a playlist on, when I reopen amarok the next time, pressing the tray icon to obtain the gui, it will silently crash (without any crash report, apparently it simply exits without an error status).
To solve the problem I have to empty the playlist using an external program (I use Amarok2 Remote for Android) and then I can return to use amarok gui.

It doesn't happens with all playlists, for example it happens with "Katatonia - Viva Emptiness" album (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viva_Emptiness), but not with "Ahab - The Divinity of Oceans" album (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Divinity_of_Oceans).

If you don't undestand I can make you a video with all the steps to reproduce the problem.

Reproducible: Always

I linked to the wrong old bug, it was this one: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358519

Actually I'm using amarok 2.4.1 and when you launch amarok it should automatically show the gui, but with the "poisony" playlists it simply goes on tray icon.
