Actual Results: You get a message about packages that are no longer in portage or don't work with blender-2.5 Expected Results: No mis-information. Two of the four packages suggested for external rendering support are no longer in the main portage tree. (sunflow and luxrender) yafray is in the tree but doesn't support blender-2.5. Actually it is no longer maintained upstream. From the yafaray.org site: The last YafRay release was the 0.0.9 version in Summer 2006. Notice that these sources aren't under development anymore. yafaray-0.1.1 is in portage but you need the beta code yafaray-0.1.2 to work with blender-2.5. Plus the scripts for blender that enable the yafaray renderer. Visit the yafaray.org site for the latest information. The version of povray in portage for the ~arch is suitable, and the scripts that are installed with blender-2.5 work with it. (media-gfx/povray-3.7.0_rc3)
i can confirm this facts. it would be great if all this folling renders will be avaibale for blender 2.5x as soon as possible.
