Is that known to work?
Do you have imagemagick or graphicsmagick installed? Maybe try reinstalling it. Otherwise, maybe the version you have isn't compatible.

I've updated the dependency so that you'll have to install imagemagick instead, since there is no mention of graphicsmagick in the upstream list of dependencies: http://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux
