Description Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-04-23 02:28:37 UTC
since version 3.7.0, server-to-server (S2S) communication is broken to some servers. Especially to GMX/WEB.DE, which are very popular in Germany. You can't add new "buddies", and you can't see their status.

after doing hours of research, I found the solution here:
http://issues.igniterealtime.org/browse/OF-443

and here:
http://community.igniterealtime.org/message/211004#211004

openfire-of443.patch solved the issue for me. I attach that patch to this bug. It's quite trivial.

please rev-bump asap, since this is for many openfire-users a blocker!

thanks.

Reproducible: Always

oh, forgot to close this bug ;)

yes, 3.7.1 fixes it.
"of443" (issue number) is even mentioned in the changelog...
