After upgrading nxserver from 1.2.x to 1.3.0 with emerge -u world the complete userdb (which holds information about passwds and users allowed to use nx) has gone. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge -u world 2.try to connect to nxserver using nxclient 3.use a user/passwd that worked with the old nxserver Actual Results: all users have to be added again Expected Results: that exerything works as before...
The password file changed from passwd to passwords... Would be nice if the ebuild takes care of that and moves passwd to passwords. web home # ls -l /usr/NX/etc/ total 56 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5718 Dec 22 01:37 debian-node.conf -rw------- 1 root root 816 Nov 13 22:08 key.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5718 Dec 22 01:37 mandrake-node.conf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 577 Nov 8 14:17 node.conf -rw------- 1 nx root 162 Nov 29 20:55 passwd -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 41 Dec 22 01:52 passwords -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5718 Dec 22 01:37 redhat-node.conf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5714 Dec 22 01:37 suse-node.conf -rw------- 1 nx root 668 Nov 8 14:05 users.id_dsa -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 609 Nov 8 14:05 users.id_dsa.pub
