portage has 1.16.3 stable and ~1.18.5 unstable. however, roxterm is up to version 1.21.4 now, and has a tarball on http://roxterm.sourceforge.net/ that builds fine for gentoo. Among the many fixes to annoying bugs in prior versions, there's a fix that I particularly want. You can't set hotkeys for certain menu items in previous versions (including the ones in portage, and many after; the error was fixed about a month ago by the roxterm developer). I asked in #gentoo on freenode who controls when the packages are updated to new versions in portage, and they said to file a bug.. so, I am. If that's not the right approach, let me know in a reply please. For now I've installed roxterm manually, but I'd really, really like for a version of it post-hotkey-fix to live in portage. Thanks Reproducible: Always
