mesa and xorg nouveau support has been (wrongly I suppose) dropped for ~ppc64. x11-base/xorg-drivers-1.10 [1.9] INPUT_DEVICES="evdev joystick keyboard* mouse* -acecad -aiptek -elographics -fpit -penmount -synaptics -tslib (-virtualbox) (-vmmouse) -void -wacom" VIDEO_CARDS="(-apm) (-ark) (-ast) (-chips) (-cirrus) -dummy -epson -fbdev (-fglrx) (-geode) (-glint) (-i128) (-i740) (-impact) (-intel) -mach64 -mga (-neomagic) (-newport) (-nouveau) -nv* (-nvidia) (-omapfb) (-qxl) -r128 -radeon (-rendition) (-s3) (-s3virge) (-savage) (-siliconmotion) (-sis) -sisusb (-sunbw2) (-suncg14) (-suncg3) (-suncg6) (-sunffb) (-sunleo) (-suntcx) (-tdfx) (-tga) (-trident) (-tseng) -v4l (-vesa) (-via) (-virtualbox) (-vmware) (-voodoo)" media-libs/mesa-7.10.1 USE="classic gallium nptl -debug -gles -hardened (-llvm) -motif -pic (-selinux)" VIDEO_CARDS="(-intel) -mach64 -mga (-nouveau*) -r128 -radeon (-savage) (-sis) (-tdfx) (-via) (-vmware)" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Add VIDEO_CARDS="nouveau" in /etc/make.conf 2. Try to emerge mesa and xorg-drivers 3. Actual Results: - nouveau support is disabled for xorg-drivers and mesa - VIDEO_CARDS="(-nouveau*)" As a workaround, I manually added x11-base/xorg-drivers -video_cards_nouveau and media-libs/mesa -video_cards_nouveau in /usr/portage/profiles/arch/powerpc/package.use.mask I got xorg and mesa build with nouveau support, and works fine on ~ppc64
Please re-enable for ppc32 as well. I had a working nouveau installation prior to this.
This should be fixed now, sorry for the inconvenience!
It is ! Thanks a lot !
