These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
 
Calculating world dependencies ...done!
[ebuild  N F  ] dev-java/java-sdk-docs-1.4.1

As a temporary fix I injected it, which seems to work.  

Here is my emerge info:

Sorry.  Forgot to mention - wasn't sure whether to put this in Portage or elsewhere, but this seemed the most likely candidate.  Thanks :)
