Description Octavio Ruiz (Ta^3) 2003-12-10 17:01:37 UTC
If you merge linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1_pre11 and pcmcia-cs-3.2.5
you probably have this issue:

prism2_init: prism2_cs.o: 0.2.1-pre11 Loaded
prism2_init: dev_info is: prism2_cs
prism2_cs: CardServices release does not match!

This ebuild is the lastest version of linux-wlan-ng (pre15) and works with pcmcia-cs version 3.2.5

I have reports that works in 2.6 series Kernel it is true?

pcmcia-cs-3.2.1-3.2.5.diff.gz

Needs to be inside ${DISTDIR} (/usr/portage/distfiles/) only if you have
pcmcia-cs-3.2.5 installed.

Comment 5 Alexander Holler 2003-12-18 03:34:18 UTC
Plain pre16 builds fine and seems to work with 2.6 (at least the usb modules I tested). I've just copied the the two modules I need to /lib/modules/2.6.0/misc and used the rest from the installed old package.

But this ebuild here has a problem configuring the package under 2.6.

See bug #32737 for a metabug about the problems with building external modules with 2.6 kernels. As for -pre16, hopefully i'll get it into portage soon now that stupid finals are done.
Comment 7 Octavio Ruiz (Ta^3) 2004-08-08 23:27:25 UTC
Too old!, it's more important Bug 44760 ;-P There is no reason to put pre15 on portage.. now linux-wlan-ng uses an eclass and the lastest release of linux-wlan-ng is pre21.
