Description h2sammo 2011-01-29 01:06:02 UTC
www-client/surf-0.4.1 cannot invoke Ctrl-g and get the URL bar. this problem is fixed by emerging dmenu separately.

dmenu probably needs to be added a dependency for the www-client/surf package.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge www-client/surf
2. surf
3. Ctrl-g

Actual Results:
no URL bar is given (because dmenu is not installed)

Expected Results:
URL dmenu bar should be given

this problem is fixed by emerging dmenu separately.

Yes, I think that's a good idea in this case - it's difficult to figure out why the menu isn't opened when dmenu is not installed, as surf takes a rather minimalistic approach to informing the user about failing to open dmenu (i.e. it fails silently). Fixed, then.
