4.7.5 doesn't work for me; very unstable, icon in task list sometimes appears and sometimes not - random. Clicking on icon to get to orage calendar window works - if you click it repeatedly but then the window is dead (i.e. no interaction possible). Downgrading to orage-4.6.1 works fine. Attached emerge --info.

You should open a new bug and attach proper backtrace there:

That said, orage-4.6.x is broken with xfce-4.7/4.8 so this needs to go stable before xfce 4.8 stabilization.  I have no plans on fixing orage-4.6.x anymore.
