After upgrade from nfs-utils-1.2.2-r2 to version net-fs/nfs-utils-1.2.3 and restart or stop/start the service /etc/init.d/nfs following error messages appears: nz00101 hg # /etc/init.d/nfs start * Exporting NFS directories ... ive added 1.2.3-r1 with the upstream fix for that (since that was bug 340797). does it fix your issue too ?

I have tried the new version also with USE="-ipv6" but also no success. After downgrading to version nfs-utils-1.2.2-r2 the nfs stop/start works fine again.

Thanks for your efforts. USE="-ipv6" is generally broken and fixing it requires working with upstreams.
