Description David Philippi 2010-09-25 11:13:13 UTC
Seems like new Digikam absolutely requires this one and GCC has to be built with fortran enabled. Would be much nicer to see that in emerge -upD world already instead of the ebuild failing in the actual execution. Quite a few ebuilds complain if dependencies have wrong USE flags, so portage support must be there.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Failure message before emerging starts.

This is an inherent problem not just for FORTRAN packages. How do you ensure a compiler is present on your system when you can have several variants of it, some of them not in portage. I think we need some kind of new check for this.
