As the beagle project is dead, please support tracker. First of all, please let tracker go stable so other (stable) ebuild could depend on it.
Some important problems are still present in 0.8 which I find blocking for considering stabilization.
Is any tracker version ready to go to stable (needed to get grilo-plugins stabilized, also stable beagle was dropped in favor of tracker)
(In reply to comment #2) Quote from a few weeks ago on IRC: <nirbheek> tetromino, Tracker in Gentoo is quite broken... <nirbheek> tetromino, the max no. of inotify instances per UID is too low in Gentoo <nirbheek> And hence monitoring never works But 0.14.x (masked at the moment) works relatively well for me.

Why max number of inotify instances per UID is too low on Gentoo and not in other distributions? Is 0.12.x also affected by this problems? (I remember 0.10.x wasn't ready, but I thought latest 0.12.x versions were better)
Can we get updated information with newer versions to see tracker status? Thanks
I'd rather have a working solution for packages depending on a specific tracker API before starting to stabilize it. API changed quite a lot since 0.6 days and keeps changing almost at each gnome dev cycle. As not all depending apps are updated at the same speed, we should find a solution for handling dependencies properly instead of blocking incompatible revisions in ebuilds like we need to do nowadays.
Will go with the rest of gnome 3.8 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 478252 ***
