Description Oliver Schwabedissen 2010-08-10 20:33:09 UTC
When trying to print a mail from kmail-4.4.5 nothing happens. All I can do is to print to pdf and then use okular to print the mail.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select email to print
2.Select File/print from the menu
3.Select printer and click print button

Actual Results:
Print dialog closes, nothing is printed

Expected Results:
Mail is printed

I searched the Gentoo forums and found the solution here: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-834229.html

After upgrading cups-1.3.11-r2 to currently unstable net-print/cups-1.4.4 and restarting cupsd solved the problem for me.

This should either be fixed or cups-1.4.4 stabilized.

Is there already an upstream bug about this?

Do you still have the problem with kmail-4.4.7 ?

This is fixed since net-print/cups-1.3.11-r4 (stable).
