Perl is not parallel make safe. Run with MAKEOPTS=-j1
...and...uhm...why is this not fixed in the ebuild. I hit the same exact problem (as I would expect many people will too).
So this is worked around in the ebuild... Is there any work to fix this, is it upstreamed or is this one bug report/workaround that survived the bump from 5.12.1 -> 5.12.2 (going upstream and searching their ticket system shows that most/all bugs about parallel make issues are currently marked resolved)?
This parallelism issue also appears in 5.12.2
*** Bug 355357 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
this version of perl was removed from the tree, and i can't reproduce similar bugs on the new version Closed.
