I just open this bug, because it's a blocker for bug #329893
The bigloo-3.4a ebuild is currently under work
Steps to Reproduce:
Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.
Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Sry, for the sunrise reflex of mine, but
please poke scheme herd http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/lisp/scheme/index.xml to take the maintainer-ship.
You should have access to the lisp overlay. If you don't we must find a way to get to you access (hkBst is responsible for the overlay but he's devaway).
Bah, I thought that the bug has an ebuild attached, anyway... Removing Inclusion keyword.

Here is a candidate ebuild, there are still problems to fix, see the comments in the ebuild source.
It has been quite well tested on my machine (x86_64) since I only install bigloo this way for a while ;)
IMHO, these problems are not critical for the ebuild to stand in the lisp overlay, but it will better to have them fix before merging it to the tree.

patch for not stripping the binaries
There are a few changes with the patch currently present in the Gentoo tree, mainly documentation (to have the patch ready to be committed upstream)

This should fix some tests, but not all. Chiiph reported me several issues when running tests.
BTW, this patch has been committed upstream in the 3.4b branch

Make the build process respect LDFLAGS, see bug #306487 comment #3
Also fixed some typo in the comments.
The package is available in the Lisp overlay currently. But the blockers have to be solved before it can be merged to the tree
Committed. Thanks Cyprien for all your work.
