What version of Qt are you using?

3.3.8b-r2 (kde-sunset), 4.6.2-r1.
It seems to be c++ syntax error.

Nobody from the qt team has shown any interest in maintaining qtruby for a long time. If you're sufficiently interested in this package, you're encouraged to become a proxy maintainer for it (http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/proxy-maintainers/index.xml). Until there isn't an active maintainer, I'm going to close all bugs that don't have a patch attached.
