Also, i running command "perl-cleaner --reallyall" with app-admin/perl-cleaner-2.0, this package is rebuilded after perl and libperl's rebuild, but with the same error.
Comment 4 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-06-22 15:21:36 UTC
I don't think perl-cleaner should be the answer in this case. Please try `revdep-rebuild -i' and report back.
Comment 5 kpld 2010-06-23 15:09:36 UTC
I have run "revdep-rebuild -i" or "revdep-rebuild" or "emerge -av @preserved-rebuild", there is no broken package. And the rxvt-unicode is still has compile error.
Comment 6 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-27 03:20:47 UTC
Apparently building dev-lang/perl with USE=threads is the cause.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 19186 ***
Comment 7 Torsten Veller (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-27 04:52:04 UTC
@kpld: this happens if ithreads is only set for exactly one of dev-lang/perl and sys-devel/libperl. the "ithreads" use flag must be set/unset for both dev-lang/perl *and* sys-devel/libperl!

So:
- reinstall libperl and perl with the same ithreads useflag setting.
- perl-cleaner reallyall

I think the conclusion in bug 19186 is not correct today.
Comment 8 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-27 05:02:25 UTC
Wouldn't this be easily solved by using USE deps in the libperl+perl ebuilds or perl.eclass?
Comment 9 kpld 2010-08-27 15:29:09 UTC
@Torsten: You are right. I compiled perl with ithreads USE flag, but libperl is not. According to your suggestion, i remerged this package, this problem doesn't happen again. Thank you and Jeroen.

Yes.
First USE deps didn't exist then nobody added it.

Problem only exists with older versions. Closing this bug.
