media-tv/xbmc-9.11-r4 fails to build. I am unsure on where and why(TexturePacker?).

can you please provide an `emerge --info of your system` and rerun the emerge with `MAKREOPTS="-j1" emerge -av "=media-tv/xbmc-9.11-r4"` to get a more human readable outout.
