Installing the latest desktopcouch, 0.6.4 (and the only available in the tree right now) completely broke gwibber for me. This caused a variety of problems. The most direct that I can describe at this point is that when I reset *everything*, I was unable to add any accounts to gwibber, gettings a KeyError on "_id" within gwibber.microblog.util.keyring (sorry, I don't have the exact backtrace handy at this point). It turns out that on Ubuntu Lucid, they patched desktopcouch-0.6.4 for Gwibber: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/desktopcouch/0.6.4-0ubuntu1 I've attached the relevant patch, which *instantly* fixed all of the problems I had been having. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 233205 [details, diff] Ubuntu patch to expose some private attribs relied upon by gwibber. Here's the relevant Ubuntu patch.
Hello Ryan, please provide the gwibber version was broken hereby. I've bumped gwibber to 2.29.1 (bug 304341) and used it for some days w/o problem. There are newer versions in tree by now, plus a bump request for 2.30 (bug 321067). thanks, Michael
