Weave 1.2 has been released a month ago.

The version 1.1 available in portage today is horribly outdated, other plugins like noscript got removed already -> I assume this is no longer valid.

Mounir has been keeping Weave in-tree because of ppc. Weave needs to be compiled, and there's no binaries available upstream for ppc.

When Firefox 4.0 is released, and Weave makes use of js-ctypes, *then* we can remove weave from the tree.

Update: Weave has been merged into Firefox-4.0 as "Firefox Sync".

We currently have sync enabled by default. It will only work once setup, we will not control it via a useflag.

Weeve is scheduled to be removed.
