Description Anton Bolshakov 2010-05-05 08:25:02 UTC
Hi, hdaps-gl fails to compile with the follow error:

>>> Compiling source in /var/tmp/portage/app-laptop/hdaps-gl-0.0.5/work/hdaps-gl-0.0.5 ...
make -j2 'CFLAGS=-march=native -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -Wl,-O1'
cc -march=native -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -Wl,-O1 -L/usr/X11R6/lib -o hdaps-gl hdaps-gl.c -lglut -lGL -lGLU -lm
hdaps-gl.c:25:21: error: GL/glut.h: No such file or directory

Adding virtual/glut to the DEPEND section fixes the problem.

Cannot reproduce that. Looks like you need to run `eselect opengl'.

It still fails. I've done eselect opengl set 2, and here is the list output:
#eselect opengl list
Available OpenGL implementations:
  [1] ati
  [2] xorg-x11 *
Comment 3 Anton Bolshakov 2010-05-11 02:02:43 UTC
Please make sure there is no media-libs/freeglut in your system.
Reopening..

The patch adds missing glut dependency
Comment 5 nm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-28 03:59:38 UTC
Confirmed. Absolutely must depend on freeglut or else it won't compile.

Still broken over a year later. This can't be stabilized until the freeglut dependency is fixed.
Comment 7 Clemens Werther 2011-06-29 19:58:25 UTC
Yep, freeglut is definitely needed to compile this.
Comment 8 Anton Bolshakov 2011-09-19 12:37:39 UTC
I don't actually understand why this bug is open for 1.5 years.
It should take 5 min to fix it.
Comment 9 Hanno Böck gentoo-dev 2011-10-02 20:44:51 UTC
fixed
