Description Howard B. Golden 2003-10-23 12:46:08 UTC
I recently submitted bug 31755. I haven't received any bugzilla emails on it,
either when I submitted it or when anyone else made comments.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
Not applicable.
Actual Results:
Not applicable.

Expected Results:
Should be receiving emails from bugzilla when I am the submitter or on cc list.
Comment 1 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-23 13:17:00 UTC
This is configurable in bugzilla. Have you checked your config options?
Comment 2 Howard B. Golden 2003-10-23 13:43:45 UTC
I have checked my config options. Every option is checked, except for "Only
email me reports of changes made by other people" and "CC field changes"
for CC and Voter.

(Note: Emails were received regularly until approximately 2003-10-22 10:00
PDT. Since then, only 1 email received.) Yesterday, I looked at my email
options and all were checked. I unchecked the 3 above. No difference in result
(i.e., still no emails).
Comment 3 Howard B. Golden 2003-10-23 13:54:05 UTC
I created a new account for a different e-mail address. The email came immediately.
I wonder if yahoo.com is blackholing mail from gentoo.org? I'll contact yahoo.com's
mail admin.

Re: Comment #3: I contacted Yahoo to ask if they were blackholing gentoo.org.
Their answer was a form response that didn't really answer the question.
(Don't use Yahoo Mail if you want adequate customer service.) Therefore,
I've used my new bugs account to watch my original one. Hopefully this will
get me e-mail again. (I still don't know if the problem is at Yahoo or somewhere
else. I hope this will be a workaround for whatever the problem is.)
Comment 5 Benjamin Coles 2003-11-10 16:25:03 UTC
this is clearly a yahoo problem and if you could provide me some means to
contact them and clear up any issues I'd be glad to. I've also sent an email
to the anti spam team and will keep you posted
Comment 6 Howard B. Golden 2003-11-10 17:47:51 UTC
Re: Comment #5: You can e-mail them at mail@yahoo-inc.com . Good luck! As
noted in Comment #2, the problem started 2003-10-22. Perhaps they decided
that Gentoo bugs were spam then!?!

Using my socal.rr.com account to watch my yahoo.com account is working for
me, but it would be great if you could fix it for everyone else on Yahoo.

yahoo unblacklisted us thanks to Lance Albertson
Comment 8 Howard B. Golden 2003-12-12 10:17:04 UTC
I waited a few days to be sure. I'm getting all messages sent to my Yahoo e-mail address again. Thanks for your help, Lance and Benjamin!
