As a first step, you should try re-emerging it with less aggressive cflags.
Comment 2 Eddy Van de Pol 2003-11-01 12:11:14 UTC
Seems when I first do "disconnect all" before exiting, kopete closes without
crashing
Comment 3 Eddy Van de Pol 2003-11-03 23:51:41 UTC
Seems that the AIM plugin is causing the trouble, when I disconnect from
AIM and then quit, no problem
Comment 4 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-06 08:50:54 UTC
try kopete 0.7.4
Comment 5 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-16 12:19:02 UTC
please try kopete-0.7.4
Comment 6 Eddy Van de Pol 2003-12-17 01:59:21 UTC
kopete 0.7.4 installed
gives same error, when I disconnect from AIM before exiting, everything fine
Comment 7 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-17 02:27:57 UTC
so we need to reopen this one
Comment 8 rob holland (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-05 02:18:44 UTC
I have no idea why this is assigned to me :/
Comment 9 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-17 10:48:37 UTC
please compile with USE=debug and post another backtrace

Comment 14 Eddy Van de Pol 2004-01-30 02:00:36 UTC
I compiled kopete-0.8_rc1 today (nice version, thanks!!)
the first time I started it, it crashed, but with the next tries It works like a charm and I can quit when I'm connected to AIM without crashing; Nice work
I'll post below the backtrace from the first start and crash just for information:

strange that it crashed the first time, but if it works now it seems ok
