Created attachment 241233 [details] patch for cmake-2.8.1-r2.ebuild Hi, the reason for this failure is that the failing test "OutDir" actually requires the latest cmake. The ebuild is trying to be smart and use a pre-existing cmake-2.6 resulting in the failure. My patch will run the bootstrapping procedure if FEATURES contains "test". One could come up with a more sophisticated solution, but it seems future proof to run the tests with the latest version of cmake. Please test.
(In reply to comment #3) > Created an attachment (id=241233) [details] > patch for cmake-2.8.1-r2.ebuild Works fine, OutDir test passes. I still have two other tests failing: CTest.UpdateSVN and CTest.UpdateCVS... is that normal?
Ah, it's OK, they fail in 2.6.4-r3 as well.

Also take care of the remaining test failures blocking KDE 4.4.5 (maybe restrict), so we can mark it stable.
(In reply to comment #5) > Ah, it's OK, they fail in 2.6.4-r3 as well. For me they don't fail. All tests pass now.
+ 06 Aug 2010; Samuli Suominen <ssuominen@gentoo.org> cmake-2.8.1-r2.ebuild: + Run bootstrap with FEATURES="test" wrt #315223 by Thomas Kahle. Doesn't block bug 325845 anymore, but it's not a full solution so leaving open.
Created attachment 248605 [details] /var/tmp/portage/dev-util/cmake-2.8.1-r2/temp/build.log FindModulesExecuteAll and CTest.UpdateCVS tests failing on mips64 n32
On _upgrade_ to cmake-2.8.3 on mipsel n32 now the FindModulesExecuteAll and CTest.UpdateCVS tests didn't fail anymore, but am now hitting the discussed above OutDir failure instead. Unfortunately cmake was made a build requirement of poppler, so I can't remove mips keywords on it, please find a fix or advise what to do here.
Actually outdir fail on one of my pcs too, and i could not find reason why, since the out-of-tree build is default on gentoo and if outdir would not work all packages would not compile ;)
Created attachment 260078 [details] cmake-test-config.diff Diff between working and portage setup of testconfiguration.
Created attachment 260080 [details] ctest-verbose-log.diff Diff between working and non-working test in verbose mode.
I tested Removing all patches -> still fail Removing ldflags clfags -> still fail
CC, CXX and all other variables unset or set to default also still fails :/
Fixed in cvs. Thanks to revertm to kicking me so i could figure it out :)
