Description junkmail 2010-04-01 17:01:47 UTC
After updating my system, to include the following:

app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs-20100220
app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-xlibs-20100220
app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-20100220-r2

I can no longer start vmware-server console. When run from a terminal I get the following error:

/opt/vmware/server/lib/bin/vmware: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib32/libgio-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_thread_gettime

Running "revdep-rebuild", and "lafilefixer --justfixit" failed to resolve the problem. Reverting to emul packages version 20091231 resolved the problem.]

Using vmware-server-1.0.9.156507 (the latest stable version).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update emul-linux packages via emerge -uD world
2. $ /opt/vmware/server/lib/bin/vmware

Actual Results:
error described above

Expected Results:
vmware server console appears.

Please try with new 20100611 set and be sure you are using libs provided from them, not multilib-overlay or any other 32 bits libraries.

Latest emul-packages show the same error. Also, as the working emul-packages have been removed from portage and I forgot to check before upgrading. Great. Thanks for that.
