If I ssh into my computer and try to emerge gtksourceview-2.10.0 from gnome overlay on my computer the tests fails because of it cannot open display. adding virtualx to the inherit and src_test() { Xemake check || die "checks failed" } to the ebuild and it pass checks and emerges fine.
Could you provide a build.log that shows your problem without Xemake ?
