With the use of qt3to4 and a little bit manual investigation, I got engauge compiled against qt-qt3support. I will post the patch and a new ebuild, which fixes also bug 299788.

Is there any chance that this new version will go straight ahead into the portage tree, which will then also fix bug 301746, or should I start within the sunrise overlay?

Thanks for your work. I assume you have contacted upstream about this? The frontpage says they are looking into porting for Qt4.

Adding qt@ to CC since they masked the Qt3 version.
