This ebuild includes an patch to get an Teles ISDN PCMCIA Card working. This might be of interesst of some gentoo users (and me of course :-), so i'd prefer to include it. I've maintained this patch for the last 2 years an it's availabale trough the contrib-part at the official pcmcia-cs website. David Hinds - the maintainer of pcmcia-cs - refuses the integration in the official package, because he is not that familiar with ISDN and does'nt have that much Maintenance. The patch is just adding an further module. It's not my concern to decide if this patch will made it's way into gentoo, but i would recomend it (AFAIK it's also shipped with SuSE). It should'nt be of any harm for Useres don't using this special card. This patch is tested by me and some other users in the past. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 19143 [details] sys-apps/pcmcia-cs-3.2.5-r1.ebuild Also available trough CVS from gentoo.de (like a lot of other interessting stuff).
Created attachment 19144 [details] [PATCH] teles_cs_3.2.5_2.4.22.diff.bz2 Patch als attached just to be safe. This most current patch was just sent to David Hinds, the maintainer of pcmcia-cs and might not be available at the moment. Also attached for those who are interessted in case this patch won't make it to gentoo... It's not working for kernel-2.6 (see also ebuild).
Please file an enhancement request with upstream for inclusion of this patch.
