A few comments about the proposed ebuild: - The use of whitespace deviates a bit from Gentoo traditions. - The ebuild includes doc in $IUSE, but never reads it. - You can combine the deletion of the usr/include, usr/sbin, and usr/$(get_libdir) paths into a single rm -r. - If you are going to delete so much of what the upstream package installs, it might be better to patch the build system not to build those files in the first place.

The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay.
